The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) is internationally recognized as having achieved a preeminent place among the world\'s most important orchestras. The 2010-2011 season marks the sixth full season of the Orchestra's second home, the 1,976-seat Music Center at Strathmore, located in North Bethesda, Maryland. With the opening of the Music Center at Strathmore in February 2005, the BSO became the nation\'s first orchestra with year-round venues in two metropolitan areas. As the founding partner and resident orchestra of the Music Center, the BSO presents approximately 30 performances in the concert hall annually. Concert experiences include Classical, SuperPops and Special Events.

Strathmore Mansion in North Bethesda is sometimes described as “Montgomery County’s home for the arts.” Year-round visitors enjoy art exhibitions, concert series of
chamber music, folk music and jazz, afternoon musical teas, performances for children and outdoor concerts all in a beautiful Georgian-style mansion with exquisite outdoor grounds. Next to the Strathmore Mansion you’ll find the Music Center at Strathmore. This magnificent structure houses a 1,978-seat concert hall which welcomes world renowned performers, and the connecting state-of-the-art education center features music and dance classes, workshops and seminars for students of all ages.
