New! Doubletree Silver Spring
On January 23, 2012, the Doubletree Hotel Washington DC – Silver Spring converted from the former Hilton Washington DC - Silver Spring after completing a major, multi-phase renovation that has reinvigorated the property’s 248 guest rooms, lobby space, and public areas with exciting and modern color-schemes throughout the design package.
The hotel’s primary food and beverage outlet, Twisted Willow Restaurant & Bar, was imaginatively redesigned utilizing contemporary and eclectic lighting and finish elements befitting the Silver Spring Downtown Arts & Entertainment District. The restaurant was also reconfigured to accommodate up to 75 guests in the new 1,000-square foot bar/lounge facility fronting along the busy Colesville Road commercial corridor.
Centrally located just 5 blocks north of the Washington DC / Maryland border, the upscale, full-service hotel is just one block from the AFI Silver Theater & Cultural Center, Live Nation’s new Fillmore Silver Spring, and Downtown Silver Spring’s thriving city center.
