We Double Dog Dare You to Visit the Haunted Forest at Damascus Community Recreation Center

The ghouls are back at it! Bring your bravest friends and family members and come explore your wildest childhood fears! This haunted trail features over 50 creepy characters, more than 20 scare ‘stations’, and lots of spooky surprises. Register today because this ghostly trail is only open for a few nights in October. Field of Screams

The Field of Screams is a Halloween event in Olney, Maryland with four great haunts in one location: a 30-minute walk through a Haunted Trail, a two-story Haunted House, a 10-acre Corn Maze and a Haunted Hayride. Several new scary attractions have been added this year including the Slaughter House, Funhouse, Voodoo Hut and the Infested House of Roaches and Snakes. Open select dates & times in October! Fall Frolic

Fall Frolic is the Glen Echo Park Partnership's annual Halloween-themed family event. It's open to the public, and visitors of all ages are invited to the Park to explore the arts through hands-on crafts, Halloween activities, and performances. AFI Silver Theatre Spooky Movie International Hoor Film Festival & Halloween on Screen

Comedian/director Bobcat Goldthwait will be on hand to kick off this year’s SMIHF and show his new, found-footage Bigfoot film, “Willow Creek.” The festival continues with 10 days of frightening programming. Meanwhile, catch 18 days of Halloween-appropriate screenings, too, like “The Haunting,” “Ghostbusters” and recent cult classic, “Shaun of the Dead.”Film fest: Oct. 10-19; Halloween movies:  Oct. 18-Nov. 4 Cost: $12, $10 with purchase of 10 or more tickets, $125 for All Fest Pass
