Don Becker explains the techniques for candid portraits of young children, using natural light. Don emphasizes capturing natural looks and the character of kids, while they're playing, resting or active. The lighting will be all natural or natural looking. If weather permits, all or most of the photography will be outdoors, although Don will also cover techniques for natural looking candid indoor portraits.

Poetry and Prose reading by Emerging Writer Fellow Suzanne Cleary and Karen Sagstetter. Cleary's most recent collection of poems is Trick Pear. Karen Sagstetter will read from The Thing with Willie: Stories of Two Families. The reading will be followed by a reception and book signing.
