Meet up at the National Museum of Health and Medicine for Faber Hour. Hermann Faber was an Army Medical Museum (today’s National Museum of Health and Medicine) illustrator during and after the Civil War, and is widely known for his meticulous anatomical sketches. Faber Hour is a drop-in sketching session for people interested in drawing anatomical specimens, historical artifacts or art objects in the Museum. The session will be led by a Museum employee with a background in medical illustration. This activity is suitable for high school students and adults. Bring a sketchbook and pencils (basic drawing materials are available for those who need them).
