Red Sammy is Baltimore singer/songwriter, Adam Trice. The style of music embraces the beauty in imperfection: life, work, hard work, disappointment, love and loss are all themes entwined in his songs. The band collaborates with poet and University of Baltimore professor, Steve Matanle for a night of poetry and song.

Guest artist: Cuarteto Rustico--- In a grand season finale, Cantigas presents a celebration of contemporary Puerto Rican composers, in collaboration with Cuarteto Rustico, a string quartet comprised of local artists with Latin American roots. The concert will feature El Tren, a commissioned premiere by composer Jorge Figueroa for choir and string quartet, and Lamento Negro by Sonia Morales Matos.

Piotr Gajewski, conductor Selections from Richard Wagner's best-known operas celebrate the 200th anniversary of the composer's birth. Highlights include Overture to The Flying Dutchman, Ride of the Valkyries from Die Walkure, Prelude to Die Meistersinger; and Prelude and Liebestod (Love-Death) from Wagner's drama about the immortal lovers, Tristan and Isolde. Fenton Village is located just south of downtown Silver Spring between Wayne, Georgia & Burlington avenues & Fenton Street. Similar to a pub crawl, Taste the World welcomes participants into 25 restaurants to sample not just their specialties but their special atmosphere. Restaurants will offer appetizers and small tasting plates for $2 to $5 apiece. Also enjoy Latin, Brazilian, Jazz & more at our live music stage.
