Dr. Nina Kraus, Principal Investigator, Northwestern University School of Communication, Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, reveals how the adult brain is shaped by musical training in childhood and how musical experience offsets age-related delays in neural timing. Following the lecture, Dr. Kraus will be joined by Marie Bernard, M.D., Deputy Director, and Molly V. Wagster, Ph.D. Chief, Behavioral and Systems Neuroscience Branch, Division of Neuroscience, National Institute on Aging at NIH for a panel discussion on the role of the arts in aging.
