Throughout the year, Montgomery County’s towns, both large and small, offer special events with something for everyone. From the Sugarloaf Craft Festivals which showcase talented craft designers and fine artists to the annual Taste of Bethesda featuring scrumptious samplings from more than 50 restaurants, Montgomery County is a treasure-trove of fun.

For the teen that has a love for the fubne arts, join our "open studio" mentorship class. students will explore their creativity through self-directed projects. Laree Donnelly, artist-in-residence in the Arts Entwine Studio at the Arts Barn, will guide the students. Please bring a selection of your artwork (portfolio/sketchbook) to the first class. Students should bring their own specialized supplies. A $10 materials fee is due the first class for basic supplies. No Class on May 16. Ages 12-15

Bethesda Fine Arts Festival

The Bethesda Fine Arts Festival, a two-day event highlighting 120+ contemporary artists who will sell their original fine art and fine craft, is back for the 11th year on Saturday, May 10 from 10am – 6pm and Sunday, May 11, 2014 from 10am – 5pm. Artists from throughout the country will showcase painting, drawing, photography, furniture, jewelry, mixed media, wood and ceramics. The outdoor festival will be held in downtown Bethesda’s Woodmont Triangle along Norfolk, Auburn, Del Ray and Cordell Avenues, and will feature live music, children’s activities and Bethesda restaurants. Admission to the event is free. The festival is located six blocks from the Bethesda Metro station and free parking is available adjacent to the event in the parking garage located on Auburn Avenue.
