The Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival features world renowned and regional straight-ahead Jazz artists on 4 stages. The 2012 festival headliners include Roy Haynes, Carmen Bradford, Terell Stafford, Paul Carr, and gospel great Kim Burrell. The Festival has something for everyone including a family play produced in partnership with the Adventure Theatre, "Bud Not Buddy" and a dance group, Jazz Ain't Dead, that showcases dancers performing to traditional jazz music. This is event is full of interactive fun with line dancing classes, jazz music clinics and master classes, jam sessions and a high school band competition. Many of the performances are free.
