Dining with the Chefs

Founded in 2001, The Campus Kitchens Project is a national organization that empowers student volunteers to fight hunger in their community. By organizing the first fundraiser “Dining with the Chefs” the UMES Hotel and Restaurant Management students will raise funds for a fundamental community based partnership program. The Universities at Shady Grove Campus Kitchen Project provides more than 200 meals each month to the families participating with the Dwelling Place, Inc. During our very first “Dining with the Chefs” fundraiser, guests will have the opportunity to meet and dine with local prominent chefs and leading restauranteurs. The chefs will collaborate with students to design the meal courses for the evening.
